Mr. Monteleone has led several infrastructure programs and projects. He has led large global projects such as the consolidation of off-shore data centers in Japan, France, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil into a central U.S. site. He has managed projects that facilitated the merge of equipment and personnel for two large corporations. In addition, he has led two large-scale projects: building the infrastructure for a multimillion dollar SAP retail system that links convenience stores around the world via the Internet, and constructing a disaster recovery site for an e-business service center drawing more than $20 billion in revenue.
Mr. Monteleone has led enterprise project slate selection to ensure strategic plan alignment and maximum return on investment. He has developed business cases for projects using various financial indicators – Payback Period, Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). He also has consulted with project stakeholder groups on using earned value management (EVM). For Informa, the parent company of ESI, he has published Laying the Organizational Groundwork for EVM: Educating Stakeholders. He has also written articles for ESI Horizons, BA Times, BA Connection, International Association of Facilitators (IAF) Global Flipchart and Modern Analyst.
Mr. Monteleone holds a B.S. in physics and an M.S. in computing science from Texas A&M University. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSMTM) and Scrum Product Owner (CSPOTM) by the Scrum Alliance. He also holds an Advanced Master’s Certificate in Project Management (GWCPM®) and a Business Analyst Certification (GWCBA®) from George Washington University School of Business.

Mark Monteleone is a consultant with more than 40 years of experience in developing business application systems and managing infrastructure projects for the telecommunications, manufacturing and oil industries. During his career, he has conducted strategic enterprise analysis and consulted on business applications and project management in more than 35 countries.
As an instructor, Mr. Monteleone has held instructor positions with Western Electric in its Corporate Education Center and with ExxonMobil in its Computer Technology, Development, and Training Division. He has served as a subject matter expert for the ESI business analysis curriculum using both waterfall and agile solution development life cycles. In addition, he has developed and conducted workshops on project management and consulted with companies in Asia Pacific, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and in the United States and Canada.
In the applications arena, Mr. Monteleone has provided database and system analysis consultation resulting in some of the largest database systems in the United States. His application experience includes manufacturing process and inventory control, payroll, and corporate financial reporting. In the oil industry, he has consulted on downstream marketing in the United States, and upstream oil/gas reservoir systems in Saudi Arabia. He is skilled in analyzing business processes and certified in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) by BPMessentials.
